Food Industry To Deceive You By Changing the Name of High Fructose Corn Syrup
The Corn Refiners Association recently announced that they would be changing the name of high fructose corn syrup to "corn sugar". This does not surprise me as there has been much public outcry about the refined sweetener that warrants them going out with the old and in with the new. The name might change but it does not change the fact that high fructose corn syrup causes liver disease, high blood pressure, type 2 diabetes, obesity, heart disease, high triglycerides, and chronic inflammation. High fructose corn syrup is actually made from genetically modified corn. GMO foods have been shown to cause organ failure, cancer, severe allergies, generational infertility, blood sugar problems, aging, and immune system suppression. The GMO Bt corn that it is made from actually causes your body to produce pesticides internally. Genetically engineered food changes your genes and turns on your body's disease genes. It also makes you more violent, anti-social, and fearful.
The name change of high fructose corn syrup is an old tactic of the food industry. When the name of a food gets bad, then they change the name of it to fool people. Even more, they will create a new name and then advertise that their product is made with "real corn sugar" and does not contain high fructose corn syrup. You are guaranteed to see food companies do this. They will advertise and promote that there is no high fructose corn syrup in their product when it does have it. Changing names of foods is what I like to call nutritional doublespeak. Doublespeak is when you change the name of a word to disguise what it truly is. A modern example of this is changing the name low eruric rapeseed oil to "canola" oil. Rapeseed oil really does not sound too appetizing hunh? Another example is changing the name of monosodium glutamate to "hydrolyzed soy protein". The food industry are masters of deception and all their deception is designed for you to keep consuming their poisons which in this case is high fructose corn syrup.
Does High Fructose Corn Syrup Deserve all the negative publicity?
High fructose corn syrup does share a lot of blame here for poor health in the US but do not be fooled into thinking that white sugar is any better. White sugar and high fructose corn syrup are essentially the same. The same POISON! Sodas made with regular sugar are still toxic. What makes these refined sugars so bad is their fructose content. White sugar and high fructose corn syrup contain around 50 percent fructose. The refined fructose is the poison which causes most of the problems attributed to high fructose corn syrup. For this reason, modern sweeteners like agave nectar can even be more harmful than high fructose corn syrup! Agave has over 70 to 90 percent fructose which is a dangerously high amount!
Our Sugar Habit is Killing Us
For all intensive purposes, our sugar habit is killing us. Our refined sweetener consumption is extremely too high and they are numerous health problems linked to our overconsumption of it. Great info. I was just in an herbal/natural products store (or whatever the correct name is) the other day. The lady working there told me she uses agave nectar instead of honey/sugar!
